As we wrap up another year at Olive & Honey, we’ve had time to reflect on the palettes, textures, and trends that shaped our floral designs throughout 2025. Without question, one of the biggest influences was Pantone’s Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse. It’s such a warm, inviting color tone that proved to be far more versatile than we imagined!
When Pantone announced Mocha Mousse at the start of the year, we loved its subtle richness and natural warmth.

Mocha Mousse: A Canvas for Nature-Inspired Elegance
What makes this hue so inspiring is its versatility. Mocha Mousse is a grounding neutral, creating a natural balance whether it’s paired with:
- Blush roses for romance
- Vibrant oranges and peaches for a harvest feel
- Dusty blues and greens for a serene seasonal touch
- Winter whites and evergreens for a cozy, timeless palette
We weaved so many brown-toned flowers into our designs this year—some of our favorites were toffee roses, magnolia foliage tips, and cozy sunflowers that add depth and texture. Each arrangement felt warm, organic, and inviting, making this trend a truly fun one to work with!

A Look Back: Designs Inspired by Mocha Mousse
Throughout 2025, we’ve incorporated this color in ways that made a lasting impact. Looking back as the year comes to a close, we’ve seen firsthand how this earthy hue threaded its way through our weddings, sympathy designs, seasonal arrangements, and everyday florals.

Looking back, it’s clear that Mocha Mousse wasn’t just a “trend color.” It became an adaptable, client-friendly palette that we absolutely adored! And though, we loved working with 2025’s color of the year, Mocha Mousse, we are so ready to play with a brand new inspiring color in 2026!
