Commonly referred to as the "moth orchid", Phalaenopsis are one of the longest blooming orchid genera, at peak bloom they produce 5-9 flowers per stem and blooms last from 2 to 6 months before dropping! Phalaenopsis are known to bloom 2 to 3 times per year once they have reached a mature size. Although orchids are not known for being "low maintenance", once you master their care needs, they reward you with stunning blooms for long periods of time, several times a year. This plant is a gift that is super enjoyable to watch grow and evolve throughout the years – a gift that keeps giving!
CARE:
To care for a Phalaenopsis orchid, provide bright, indirect light, water it about once a week when the top inch of the potting medium is dry, and mist the leaves to maintain 50–70% humidity. Keep temperatures between 65–75 degrees. Fertilize every 2-4 weeks during the growing season with a diluted orchid-specific fertilizer. Prune the flower spike after blooming, cutting it back to the base if it turns yellow or brown.

Substitutions may include: purple orchids for purple irises, or white alstro for white lilies, etc.
Plants
For green and blooming plants, substitutions of similar plants of equal or greater value may be made. For unique plants like orchids, we will prioritize the type but may substitute with a different color. Containers will match as closely as possible.
Gift Baskets
If necessary, we may substitute items within gift baskets with those of equal or greater value to ensure freshness and timely delivery.
Special Occasions
To ensure timely delivery for special occasions (e.g., funerals, birthdays, or anniversaries), substitutions of equal or greater value may be made if the requested flowers are unavailable and we cannot reach you via your provided contact information.
Your satisfaction is our priority, and we appreciate your understanding when substitutions are required.
Specific Delivery Times
While we cannot guarantee delivery at an exact time, most orders are delivered within four hours. You can include a preferred time frame in the “Notes for the Florist” box during checkout, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
If No One is Home
If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, we will contact the sender to arrange redelivery. One redelivery per order – beyond that a recipient will need to pick up from shop.
Leave at Door Requests
If you request an arrangement to be left at a doorstep, porch, or other unattended location, you assume all liability. In weather permitting instances we may recommend leaving arrangement at door, but only after making contact with sender and/or recipient. We cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items due to such requests.
