Trends are always evolving, and flowers are no exception. This season, we’re seeing bold colors, playful celebrations, and meaningful gifting take center stage while some long-standing wedding and floral trends begin to fade into the background. Here’s our take on what’s in and what’s out so far in 2026.
Here’s what’s “IN”

Gender Reveal Bouquets
Stand aside confetti balloons and colored smoke… it’s the flower’s turn to make the reveal! We will make two wrapped bouquets – a pink and a blue (or choose your own gender-revealing colors). Then mom-to-be is handed the one bouquet behind her back that indicates the baby’s gender. Now you have the perfect pretty prop for the oncoming of photos for the exciting announcement!
Chartreuse
We are seeing the love of this vibrant, unique and funky color taking hold everywhere; weddings, everyday fresh flowers, home decor, fashion, etc. Hanging amaranthus, bells of ireland and Extase anthurium are three cut flower varieties we cannot get enough of and are in high demand lately!
Just Because Flowers
Close your eyes and remember how you felt the last time you had flowers delivered to you. Loved. Special. Appreciated. Now consider how many people in your life you want to feel that way. Your mom, grandma, best friend, neighbor. Sending flowers on their birthday is sweet, but imagine the surprise and delight if they receive flowers just because. Showing our loved ones how much they mean to us should be on everyone’s “In” list for the year!
And What’s “OUT”

Matchy-matchy everything for weddings
Matching bridesmaids dresses have been out for a while, and now we are seeing it with flowers too. This could mean bridesmaids each carry different colored bouquets, the florals introduce a new color that is not used otherwise through the decor, or that each floral piece uses different stems creating an unexpected look throughout the event as a whole. This transition is less of a perfect-polished look, and instead artful and interesting.
Boutonnieres & corsages
When it comes to weddings, skipping the boutonnieres for groomsmen, fathers and grandfathers, and corsages for mothers and grandmothers is a smart move. Those floral costs add up fast and are not super impactful for the day as a whole. Instead, we suggest investing that floral budget into larger pieces that will be more wildly enjoyed such as ground grower arrangements that line the ceremony aisle. Then those growers can also be repurposed for decoration at the reception too! Additionally we have seen this lack of corsages carried through to the prom scene too as girls are preferring petite hand-held bouquets instead!
Eucalyptus and/or Babies Breath
These varieties had extreme popularity in the 2010s, and though they aren’t going anywhere, they are also not making a statement. White and green are safe, classic, simplistic choices, but that also means they don’t make a splash. Of course they have their time and place, but as a whole, we suggest choosing something else. There are SO many flower types so why not switch it up!
Trends come and go, but the best floral choices are always the ones that reflect your personality and style. If you love something that’s on our “out” list, don’t let that stop you from enjoying it. The beauty of flowers is that they’re meant to bring joy, not follow rules.
